Absolutely, 2025

vinyl, silk PLA, resin, modeling paste

13x22x4 inches

Absolutely (2025) reimagines commercial signage as a surreal vessel of contradiction‚ both seductive and decayed. The sculpture's central glass ‚marquee‚ reads absolute, absolutely, echoing the phrase ‚ absolute power corrupts absolutely, while synthetic vines sprouting from it bear tiny screaming faces hidden among the flowers. Using cast concrete, 3D-printed forms, and discarded plastic bags, the work merges symbols of beauty, consumption, and excess. It reflects on the entanglement of power and desire within capitalist systems, transforming familiar materials into a critique of spectacle and control.
